Instructor - Law teaches courses in the discipline area of law. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Law provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Law typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of Online Instructor - Construction Law is located in the Division of Business, Social Sciences and History. This is a part-time position, and is open for recruitment.

ONLINE - Mid-City Campus
COMPENSATION:
Salary: $2,295 per 3-hour credit course taught
Estimated Hours per Week: Summer Schedule
Dates/Times - Day, night and weekend classes; various times available

Qualifications
Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in construction management or master's degree and 18 graduate hours in a construction-related field/discipline, or bachelor's degree in a construction-related field/discipline with 3 years of work related experience in a construction related field, or associate's degree in a construction-related field/discipline, with 7 years of work experience in a construction-related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Online Teaching experience.Job Concepts
Adjunct Faculty members are responsible for teaching courses as assigned. Adjunct Faculty may teach in the evening, weekends, online and dual enrollment courses as needed. Adjunct Faculty are expected to support the institution's mission and vision and abide by the Faculty Handbook and college-wide policies. Adjunct Faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching discipline Adjunct faculty report directly to the academic program manager and/or department chair within their respective departments and divisions.
