Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on criminal law matters
• Assist in the drafting and preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Organize and manage case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date
• Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including conducting witness interviews, gathering evidence, and preparing exhibits
• Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information and provide updates on case status
• Coordinate with court personnel, expert witnesses, and other professionals involved in the legal process
• Assist in the filing of legal documents with relevant courts and administrative bodies

Requirements:

• Experienced Paralegal with a specialization or demonstrated experience in criminal law
• Thorough understanding of criminal law principles, rules, and procedures
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to extract relevant information from various sources
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Proficiency in using legal software and technology, including case management systems and legal research tools
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing legal documents
• Previous experience working in a criminal defense law firm is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
