Being an Instructor - Legal Support provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Legal Support typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. The job duties will include but are not limited to comparative proofreading (compare original filings to published copies), document preparation, and file maintenance. Strong organization and communication skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office needed, as well as an eye for detail and the desire to learn Intellectual Property Law.
