Instructor - Mathematics teaches courses in the discipline area of mathematics and statistics. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Mathematics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Mathematics typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Location: on-campus, 15800 FL-64 Bradenton, FLRequirements:- Master's or Doctorate degree in Mathematics from an accredited college or a Master's degree and 18 graduate credits in Mathematics.
- Ability to integrate faith and learning
- Willingness to interact with students in classes and availability to meet with students outside of class
- Capability to enter grades each week, using relevant rubrics
- Ability to use the university’s learning management system, MyFire, which is Moodle-based
- Must provide overall averages and sub-scale data for assessment purposes at the end of the semester in a timely manner
Additionally, candidates must be available to teach in-person Tuesdays & Thursdays. Class times are 10:15-11:45 am, 12:30-2 pm and 3:30- 5 pm.
