Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct dance classes for students of various age groups and skill levels
- Teach proper dance techniques, including body alignment, posture, and movement coordination
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of individual students
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their dance skills
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and teamwork
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere for all students
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate performances, recitals, and other dance events
Skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience in various dance styles, such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, or contemporary
- Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate dance techniques to students of different ages and skill levels
- Experience working with children or adults in an educational or instructional setting
- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish rapport with students, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
- Ability to develop age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that promote skill development and creativity
- Strong organizational skills to manage class schedules, performances, and other dance-related activities
- Flexibility and adaptability to adjust teaching methods based on individual student needs
