Instructor - Music jobs in Berkeley, CA

Please note:

Arabesque Conservatory of Music invites applications for a contract private music instructor position.

Our school services the greater Burlingame area and offers private in-home lessons.

The candidate must be a skilled and compassionate teacher, who is able to demonstrate a deep knowledge of their instrument, practice repertoire, and music theory.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to teach in student's homes in Burlingame and surrounding areas
• Experience with special needs highly preferred
• Driver License and Reliable Transportation Required
• A record of effective teaching experience in private instruction
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong command of technology to support teaching
• Expertise in teaching technique
• Bachelor of Music degree or equivalent

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teaching private lessons to students in-home
• Preparing lessons that are tailored to students' needs
• Helping students to develop confidence in their performance skills and general musicianship
• Documenting and reporting on students' progress

COMPENSATION

• Up to $70 / Hour
• Referral Bonus
