Instructor - Music jobs in Fresno, CA

Join us at United Conservatory of Music and Arts, where our mission is to provide meaningful music, theater, dance and art journeys to all! We are the largest private music school in the area and we are currently seeking talented Instructors to join our team.

Location: UCMA Fresno and/or Clovis

Grade Levels: K-Adult Private Lessons

Job type: Part-Time. Hours will expand as your studio grows. Build your studio to meet your scheduling needs. We employ a lot of parents, college students, and musicians and are happy to build around your schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high quality individualized instruction
• Inspire students to explore music education
• Model technical skills relevant to your subject area
• Arrive punctually to lessons
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
• Create a positive, safe learning environment
• Follow procedure for logging hours and requesting time off
• Be willing to learn and grow as an educator

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated proficiency in your instrument
• Experience in childcare, K-8 education, or tutoring
• Ability to work collaboratively in teams
• High ethical and professional standards

If called for interview, be prepared to provide proof of proficiency in your subject area in one of the following ways:

• Video recordings of live performance or recital
• In-person demonstration

Pay: $17.50 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 30 per week
