Instructor - Nursing jobs in Greensboro, NC
Instructor - Nursing teaches courses in the discipline area of nursing. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Nursing provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Nursing typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Education
Successful completion of State Approved Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program; Name must appear on NC State Registry as Nurse Aide in good standing.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience/Requirements
Prior experience as Nurse Aide preferred but not required.
Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff
Must have the ability to read and write.
Must be 18 years of age or older by first day of work.
Physical Demands
Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting, moving, and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds; exerting considerable force frequently, and/or intermediate force constantly to move objects and residents. Reaching, handling, fingering, talking, hearing, visual near acuity, bending, stooping and walking required.
