Instructor - Nursing teaches courses in the discipline area of nursing. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Nursing provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Nursing typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Adult Education Instructor - Part Time
Nursing Assistant InstructorSALARY: $25 per hour
LOCATION(S): Adult Learning Institute
QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Nurse, who has worked in a nursing home for 2 years; had to have taught Nursing Assistant students. Adult Education Certificate required.
DUTIES: The chosen candidate will teach classes in introduction to Adult Nursing Assistant and Clinical/Laboratory Instructions; Oversee clinical rotations; Perform related duties as required, including tracking student attendance/hours (clinical and theory), test proctoring, and collaboration with other teachers/staff assigned to the Health Occupations Academy at ALI. Must coordinate expected curriculum, conduct practical training and perform all competency evaluations.
GRADE LEVEL: Adult
