We are looking for 2 Nursing Assistant Instructors - one willing to work in the Southwest, Central and Eastern Washington to conduct the trainings at our Prestige Care Centers in either Vancouver, Yakima Valley, or Spokane, Washington and one willing to work in Molalla, Oregon.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Nursing Assistant (NA) Instructor will instruct students according to the curriculum designed to assist students to build knowledge and clinical skills. Assures all instruction is delivered in accordance with state regulations and maintains all compliance-related documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Teaches assigned NA classes using effective strategies and principles of adult education.
2. Ensures all state regulations are met in course curriculum and student-instructor ratios.
3. Maintains accurate and appropriate student, instructor, and course documentation.
4. Creates an environment conducive to learning and student-instructor interaction.
5. Ensures students satisfactorily demonstrate skills prior to performing with patients or residents.
6. Provides direct supervision and observation of all students’ clinical experiences.
7. Prepares clinical schedule for students prior to the clinical experience, communicating the schedule to the center leadership at assigned center and the student.
8. Conducts course surveys to determine effectiveness of instruction and report findings to the NA Program Director.
9. Evaluates the knowledge and skills of students before verifying completion of the course.
10. Pursues a development plan that provides for personal and professional growth including applicable skills training relevant to adult education and clinical skills.
11. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Must have a current, unencumbered Nursing license for the state(s) in which the class is being taught.
RN may be required depending on state requirements. Ability to creatively problem-solve in both
resident care and employee management situations. Individual must be a team player, well organized,
flexible and have excellent motivational skills.
EDUCATION
Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or a Diploma in Nursing. Must have at least two years of nursing experience as a Registered Nurse. Prior teaching experience and/or educational preparation for teaching adults and at least one year of nursing experience in a licensed nursing facility is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate effectively, in English, both verbal and written with personnel at all levels of the organization, with residents and their families, and with members of the community.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to maintain basic financial records of expenditures of the department. Able to understand budgets. Ability to maintain, understand and review all reports and records.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to accurately observe, report and problem-solve residents’ needs with assistance of a supervisor. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works in office, training rooms, visiting residents' rooms, overseeing resident services, and supervising
the direct care staff in training. Travel between multiple care centers may be required up to 35% of
the time.
