Instructor - Nursing teaches courses in the discipline area of nursing. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Nursing provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Nursing typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Responsible for the delivery of the clinical curriculum for the Practical Nursing Program on a part-time basis. This position is three days/week (M-T-W), day hours. Student/Instructor ratio is a maximum of 8:1.

Minimum Qualifications:
BSN minimum plus 3 - 5 years working as an RN.
Current, active Pennsylvania RN License.
Ability to demonstrate leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to problem solve and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
Ability to work well with others and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
Basic Life Support Certification for Health Care Providers.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
This position requires thecandidate to obtain thePA Child Abuse, PA Background check, and FBI Fingerprinting clearancesprior to their start date
Preferred Qualification:
Prior nursing education experience.
