Instructor - Pharmaceutical Sciences teaches courses in the discipline area of pharmaceutical sciences. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Pharmaceutical Sciences provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Pharmaceutical Sciences typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Duties include teaching lecture and/or lab sections, grading assignments, holding regular office hours, and participating in Aamp;P teaching team trainings and meetings.
Candidates must have expertise in Anatomy amp; Physiology or a related field. Previous teaching experience preferred, but not necessary. Pre-employment background check is required.
Education Required:
Candidates that have earned a M.S. or Ph.D. degree are preferred. Candidates that have earned a B.S. degree and have laboratory teaching experience will be considered for laboratory. While formal pedagogy training is not expected, ideal candidates will practice a student-centered active learning approach to teaching in line with Jefferson Universityrsquo;s Nexus Learning principals.
