Instructor - Physical Therapy teaches courses in the discipline area of physical therapy. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Physical Therapy provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Physical Therapy typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in providing patient care and treatment
- Set up equipment and prepare treatment areas for therapy sessions
- Escort patients to and from therapy sessions
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions and report any changes or concerns to the physical therapist
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas and equipment
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and documenting patient progress
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting preferred, but will train the right candidate.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care and satisfaction
- Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
