Instructor - Sociology teaches courses in the discipline area of sociology. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Sociology provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Sociology typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. What We Need
We are looking for sewing instructors to teach our students to sew during our In-Person classes, our Spring and Summer Camps, birthday parties and more, on a part time basis, with room to grow. Availability to work weekday mornings and Saturdays is especially important.
In addition, duties include keeping the studio neat and organized,
patterns, and sewing sample projects.Who You Are
A creative person ready to join our team:
-Sewing Experience- both hand and machine.
-Must love working with kids and be patient.
-Able to speak with tweens/teens and keep up with what's trending with
this age group (movies, music, etc.).
-Experience working with kids is a plus
-Experience using a serger, not a must, but a plus
-You are flexible, friendly, problem-solver.
-Available on Saturdays and throughout the Summer (June-August).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
