Instructor - Special Education teaches courses in the discipline area of special education. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Special Education provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Special Education typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. We're looking for someone for our 2024-2025 academic year with a start date of August 5, 2024. The ideal candidate will be creative, goal-oriented and excited to join our talented team as we continue working to get our students excited about learning. Teaching experience is essential, Special Education experience is a plus. Our classes include Art, Language Arts, Math, Social Emotional Learning/Executive Functioning, Science and Social Studies. The position is flexible...our hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 3:00pm and Friday 8:00am to 2:00pm.
