The Sports Program Coordinator is a full-time exempt position and a member of the SOKY Program/Sports Team that is responsible for supporting a quality sports program. This is an in-person position that is based in our Frankfort Office and regular attendance is required. Evening and weekend work with some extended travel with overnights is required.

Skills & Qualifications:
· Desire and/or passion for working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
· Bachelor's degree preferred.
· Ability to work on multiple projects daily.
· Engaging personality with excellent interpersonal skills a must.
· Ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
· Proficient time management skills, attention to detail and proven written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, ability to plan and produce social media, understanding of data bases and desire & ability to learn additional software.
· Ability to work flexible hours that include evenings, weekends, and overnights.
· Some loading and lifting are required for events.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Achieve and maintain a good working knowledge of the Games Management System (GMS).
· Support the registration process for all competitions using the SOKY Games Management System (GMS). Responsible for entering Games/Competition results in GMS.
· Support the Sports/Program Team in the planning, preparation and supervision of leagues, local qualifying events, Regional and State-level Games and Tournaments including Summer Games.
· Assist in the coordination of support services for all competitions such as meals, housing needs for volunteers and staff, delegation/team check-in, etc.
· Support Area-level Track & Field and Bowling Competitions.
· Responsible for maintaining the stock of official medals and ribbons used for SOKY competitive events to include ordering, organizing, and maintaining inventory. Fulfill awards requests from Sports Staff for events.
· Responsible for Delegation Check-in for Summer Games.
· Responsible for maintaining the stock of 2-way radios for SOKY events to include maintenance, inventory, charging, etc. Oversee the process of fulfilling radio request for events.
· Assist the Director of Health and Leadership Programs with MedFest and all Healthy Athlete events. This will include attending meetings, assist with paperwork, and event set-up, etc.
· Responsible for reserving rental trucks when needed for events.
· Assist with front of office day-to-day functions as needed to include answering phone calls.
· Attendance at SOKY sports competitions and program events as required that will include weekends and some overnights.
General Responsibilities:
· Represent SOKY at State meetings and conferences where appropriate.
· Work with the Sports/Program Team to provide articles/information for the bi-monthly Sportsline e-newsletter.
· Participate in monthly SOKY staff meetings and as well as regularly scheduled Program Department meetings.
· Abide by SOI general rules.
· Communicate regularly and effectively with the Director of Sports & Competition and all Sports/Program Team members and perform other duties when assigned.
