Position Summary:

The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for obtaining accurate Physical Therapy benefits on behalf of our clients. Explain benefits and coverage to our patients and or approved point of contact prior to their first appointment. Be the Insurance expert for the patient, understand when authorization is required, and then enter all patient, insurance, and authorizations into our EMR to ensure accurate and correct billing. Obtain, review, and request authorizations if applicable.

Daily Duties:

• Insurance verification for PT benefits for all new clients, reverifying benefits and eligibility for existing clients when plan year renews and contacting clients with benefits.
• Accurately enter all patient information into EMR to ensure correct billing.
• Obtain, review and renew authorizations when applicable.
• Insurance Authorization & Referral Expiration Report Claims & Clinical issue report.
• Assist billing department collecting patient and insurance payments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Insurance verification of benefits experience required 3-5 years.
• Physical Therapy experience highly preferred
