Responsibilities

Must have a working knowledge of HIPAA

Obtain proper insurance eligibility and benefit verification. Determine authorization requirements, and identify if the practitioner is in or out of network. Obtain proper authorization prior to patients' appointments to ensure a smooth and efficient visit for the patients. Have the ability to relay prospective patient benefit coverages to the patient and front office staff for appointment booking. Check daily schedule for patient's have have booked on line. If the patient is coming in under their insurance, verify these patients as a priority. Assist with clerical work, front desk if needed, and support the insurance director.
