Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Intake Coordinator. As an Intake Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and accurate intake processes for our patients. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Conduct intake interviews with patients to gather necessary information
- Enter patient data into the electronic medical records system (Eaglesoft)
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Schedule appointments for patients, coordinating with medical and dental providers
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with medical record management, including filing and organizing documents
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients and other healthcare professionals
- Provide administrative support to the medical and dental office staff
- Collaborate with the ER team to ensure smooth patient transitions
Skills:
- Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar electronic medical records systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Experience with medical scheduling and appointment coordination
- Familiarity with dental office procedures is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
