Description

The engineering technician will assist professional engineers in design, research, development, and quality control. They perform routine tasks as well as special projects assigned by engineers. Engineering technicians specialize in various fields, including civil, industrial, and mechanical engineering. 

**THIS IS AN ONSITE ROLE IN PANAMA CITY, FLORIDA. 

• Assists in the research and development processes 
• Assist engineers and scientists in creating, modifying, and testing products and processes. 
• Generates work logs and reports 
• Test and repair various electronic products and mechanical assemblies. 
• Work includes complex wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications, and sketches. 
• Support engineers and scientists on standard components, devices, materials, products, processes, and/or equipment. 
• Work from standard wiring and assembly drawings, operation sheets, engineering specifications, and sketches. 
• Interpret and follow documents such as SOPs and safety rules. 

Requirements

 Required Skills/Experience

• Microsoft Suite to include Excel, Word, Powerpoint and TEAMS,  
• Must be able to read and develop wiring diagrams, layouts, drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications or expansion. 
• Excellent communication and coordination skills 
• Proficient in MS Office and engineering-related programs such as CAD 
• Strong written and presentation skills 
• Working knowledge of engineering terminology 
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills 
• Demonstrates enthusiasm for learning. 
• Consider safety in all aspects of work and engineering efforts. 

Required Education:

• Bachelors Degree -  Science, Engineering, or related field / 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree  

Clearance:  

• Secret Clearance required

The company is Headquartered in Williamsburg, VA, with the main support locations of Panama City Beach, FL, and Orlando, FL. 

Work may involve prolonged sitting for extended periods at a workstation.??It may require lifting up to 25 pounds. Drug-free work environment. Must be able to pass pre-employment substance screening and be willing to submit to and pass random substance screenings.??
