Job Description

Shift Supervisors will report to the plant manager as required

• Supervise department personnel daily
• Establish goals and performance standards for employees in order to create a skilled workforce capable of achieving company goals
• Develop a strategic direction for the shift and employees
• Support and encourage shift personnel to advance their professional goals
• Must be in touch with all areas of operation daily and be able to respond to different situations accordingly
• Create a healthy environment by promoting attitudes of teamwork, pride, quality, and responsibility among associates

Availability

• Must be available to work scheduled shift Monday-Friday
• Must be available to work scheduled shift on Saturdays occasionally

Performance

Shift Supervisors should…

• Be able to provide reports detailing the progress of operations daily, weekly, and monthly
• Maintain accurate and organized records pertaining to all shift operations: production, safety, inventory, and quality

Requirements

• Obtained High School Diploma or GED
• Able to problem-solve and provide solutions
• Enforce Company Policies and Safety Regulations fairly and firmly to all employees.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Communicate clearly with others
• Create a team approach with production employees
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred
