Excellent opportunity to enter the world of Aviation as a Ramp and Luggage agent. Entry level position assisting Line Service Technician, support arriving and departing aircraft, flight crews and passengers. The Ramp and Luggage agent is a customer service/support position necessitating strong interpersonal and communication skills. This position will interact with a variety of customers, and discretion is of the utmost importance. This is a rewarding experience for anyone wishing to break into the aviation industry. There is room for growth and to learn the full duties of the Line Service Technician position and beyond.

Duties:

• Work under the supervision of the Line Service Technicians to ensure a safe ramp environment.
• Greet passengers at the curb or planeside for Arrival/Departure assisting passengers with luggage going to and from aircraft.
• Marshalling of aircraft as they taxing into position.
• Escorting passengers to and from aircraft.
• Delivering catering to aircraft as directed
• Communicate arrival of passengers to Ramp control management.
• Provide basic security to people and property.

Requirements

• Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing (including legal substances such as marijuana), and submit to random testing when required
• Pass pre-employment background check
• Complete job-related training
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Follow oral and written direction; plan and complete assigned duties on a regular schedule; complete tasks accurately and quickly.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including overtime when required
• Must be comfortable working outdoors, day, night and in all weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must complete required training.
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
• Physical requirements
• Lift passenger luggage from ground level to waist and overhead while loading aircraft.
• Stooping below wings to chock aircraft
• Good hand-eye coordination

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

• Wainscott, NY 11975: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
