Caribou, ME – FT/Days – Permanent Opportunity
Job Description:
Immediate opening for an experienced Interior Designer to work for a well-established business in Caribou. Excellent daytime schedule with competitive pay and benefits. Amazing opportunity for a creative individual with strong customer service skills. Must have professional background or training in drafting and/or interior design. Full-Time/Days; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday; $40k - $60k annual salary, depending on experience. PTO, retirement plan, health, vision, life, AFLAC insurance, and employee discounts available.
The Interior Designer will coordinate with clients, vendors, and construction teams to create aesthetically pleasing and functional kitchen and bathroom plans for residential and commercial customers. The employee will be involved in all aspects of project development but will specialize in the selection and arrangement of proper lighting, plumbing, and storage fixtures.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake interior design projects from concept to completion.
- Meet with customers to help determine their needs and vision.
- Outline plans for upcoming projects.
- Use drafting software to produce working visuals and blueprints.
- Set costs and project fees according to budget.
- Define project requirements and schedules.
- Research and select materials and products for use in installations.
- Produce “sample” and “mood products” for sales purposes.
- Work closely with vendors, architects, and constructors to supervise progress on active job sites.
- Research and follow industry changes and best practices in order to create safe, functional, and attractive spaces.
Job Requirements:- Professional experience in decorating interior spaces and project management (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions).
- Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and all installations.
- Strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with 2020 Design Live or similar software strongly preferred.
- Degree in Interior Design or similar field strongly preferred.
Schedule: Full-Time/Days; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Pay: $40k - $60k annual salary, depending on experience. PTO, retirement plan, health, vision, life, AFLAC insurance, and employee discounts available.
