This mid to senior level open position presents an opportunity for an Interior Architect/Interior Designer to join the Glastonbury, CT office of SLAM, a growing national firm of 275 employees with additional offices in Atlanta, Boston, Denver, Iowa City, Los Angeles, Orlando, Providence, and Philadelphia. This position represents an opportunity for the right candidate to grow with the firm, help to build our well-established corporate /workplace practice, working as a member of our well-established team.
Overview of Job Description:

10 years of experience working as an interior architect or interior designer in the corporate market

Experience with the architectural design process and integration of all aspects of Interior Design, including programming, planning, design development construction documents, construction administration, and overall project execution

Good interpersonal skills, excellent listening, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of an effective team

Self-starter, responsible, organized, highly motivated, and detail orientated

Management of project budgets, schedules, consultants, staffing, resources, and general business practices

Ability to direct, organize and mentor junior staff with oversight of their activities

Ability to lead clients and project teams from initial concept through construction completion

Contribute to the growth, development, and success of the corporate market practice

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design (NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer)

Experience with Revit
Business Development:

Lead and/or contribute to proposal development

Work with market leadership to identify and pursue Interiors/Corporate Market prospective clients and opportunities

Participate in project team interviews as appropriate

Active participation in local professional organizations
