We're looking for a Technical Publications Lead to own design and delivery of technical documentation for a new product in the B2B SaaS space. You'll need to consider our unique selling proposition and brand tone and produce documentation that assists paying customers seeking tangible outcomes as well as prospective buyers evaluating the product.
In this role, you'll start as a team of one, making all decisions on strategy and tactics in addition to creating the actual content. Before the end of the year, you'll start hiring members of the team that reports to you.
Responsibilities
Design, deliver, and maintain user documentation for a new B2B SaaS product
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to produce accurate, up-to-date documentation for a continuous delivery product that releases new code to production every week
Manage and deliver content in multiple formats, including articles, imagery, and video
Manage the front-end creation of customer content and the back-end workings of authoring and publishing
Produce content for admins, users, and developers
Define and monitor key performance indicators for documentation effectiveness, including user engagement and satisfaction metrics
Oversee the localization and internationalization process for documentation, ensuring accessibility for a global audience
Requirements
5 years of experience as a Technical Writer in B2B SaaS
Experience documenting a continuous delivery product
Experience managing a team
Experience with API documentation
Experience with UX writing is a plus
Collaborative attitude
Willingness to think outside the box and consider modern approaches
