International Controller directs and develops the organization's international accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. Ensures the preparation and analysis of all financial reports meet the needs of the organization and comply with all applicable regulations. Being an International Controller maintains an in-depth, and up to date knowledge and understanding of both US and international accounting principles. Advises management of potential changes in accounting regulations or practices that may impact international operations and reporting. Additionally, International Controller requires a bachelor's degree of accounting or finance. Typically reports to a CFO or top management. Typically requires CPA. The International Controller manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an International Controller typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Job Description

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

     

    As the Business Unit Controller, you are a key member of the AES Lennox leadershio team and will lead the financial planning and analysis function, oversee internal controls/compliance, support business growth and initiatives and develop the finance team. You will also interface with Lennox leaders throughout the company.

     

    Duties include, but are not limited to: 

    • Create and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual reports and ensure financial information has been recorded accurately.
    • Identify trends and developments in the competitive business environment and present findings to senior management.
    • Perform financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts.
    • Conduct or participate in the most complex financial analysis projects.
    • Oversee operational finance including manufacturing, costing and distribution.
    • Work with business/customers on contracts.
    • Support the business on growth initiatives.
    • Be responsible for internal controls, review & update as needed.
    • Identify and implement synergies within the business.
    • Help automate processes for accuracy and efficiency.

    Qualifications

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

     

    • Bachelor's degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Requires at least 8 years related experience.
    • CPA and/or MBA preferred.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel and Access skills.
    • Knowledge of enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion).
    • Advanced aptitude in problem solving.
    • Strong leadership skills and initiative.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
