Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Duties:
- Assist in recruiting and interviewing to ensure the company has qualified personnel available to provide the best possible service to division managers
- Orient new personnel to the company and explain policies, payroll procedures, benefits, etc.
- Assist with administering the cafeteria benefit plan and answering employee concerns related to benefits
- Act as a liaison with unemployment compensation and workers compensation boards to resolve questions or concerns regarding employees
- Assist division managers and employees regarding corrective actions, moves and terminations to ensure complete documentation and compliance with company guidelines
- Assist with Department of Transportation and drug testing compliance policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of government regulations pertaining to human resources, compliance and recordkeeping
- Strong professional and interpersonal abilities necessary to create a culture where employees feel comfortable working with you regarding personnel issues
- Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, while building strong relationships across the company at all levels
- Strong computer skills needed, including Microsoft Office products and exposure to HR Management ERP systems
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resource management, labor relations or business management field
- SHRM or equivalent certification preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience in a human resources management role
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex employee relations issues
