Job Description
The Manager, Field Marketing is the corporate liaison for all things pertaining to regional marketing which includes supporting energy efficiency programs and iterating national programs for local audiences.
This person will be responsible for nurturing relationships with key trade allies, strategic partners, the Lennox Field Sales team and utility program implementers. The ideal candidate will be a confident collaborator who will be required to work alongside team members on projects and tasks of all levels. They will be able to work alone and in groups, self-driven, adept at decision-making and problem-solving, have a strategic mindset, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This leader will manage a small team, focused on Utility Rebate programs and Local Marketing campaigns. The specific responsibilities to each of these are listed below.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMTED TO:
Utility Rebate Program Management
Business Development
- Work with utility companies to assess their current and future programs that can align strategically with Lennox high efficiency equipment sales and marketing initiatives
- Participate in workshops, industry roundtables and organized events in a consultative role on behalf of Lennox and the HVAC industry
- Create leadership opportunities within the energy efficiency industry to present Lennox as a market expert within the HVAC industry
- Advocate on behalf of HVAC dealers/contractors to ensure that utility programs are achievable and makes sense for Dealers and Lennox in the marketplace
- Represent Lennox at industry trade events and efficiency conferences to influence and direct the industry towards the upstream marketing program business model
- Take a leadership role in the development of Lennox/Utility programs with input from Lennox District Managers and our field sales team
- Create program rollout meetings for field sales and dealers in markets where new programs are introduced and launched, which require training and dealer onboarding
- Liaise with ENERGY STAR™ to facilitate and communicate Lennox initiatives
Administration
- Maintain and oversee the relationship between Lennox and its 3rd-party utility rebate fulfillment partner including communications, problem-solving and invoice processing
- Work with the Lennox Legal and Risk Management departments to facilitate acceptable contracts and Program Agreements designed to strategically align with sales goals including Program Guidelines, Dealer Agreements, processes and procedures
Departmental Interaction
- Manage Field Marketing Specialist – Utility Rebates who oversees day to day utility rebate program management
- Involve product teams as necessary in geographic areas where utilities or organizations are researching and promoting new manufacturer product specifications
- Work with the legal department to flag contracts and agreements that do not fit the Lennox model, both in liability and integrity
- Work with the marketing department to create utility rebate program structures that do fit the Lennox preferred upstream model
- Work with government affairs on regulatory issues that may arise at a state or federal level that may impact Lennox sales, marketing and manufacturing
- Work with product teams, marketing and our creative agency of record to create forms on Lennox.com to facilitate equipment sales qualifying for energy efficiency tax incentives
Local Marketing Campaigns
- In partnership with the Director, Loyalty and Promotions, implement field marketing strategies that supports the company's business objectives, ensuring consistency across regions while considering local market dynamics and customer needs.
- Manage a Field Marketing Specialist who will develop and iterate marketing materials for specific district needs
- Collaborate closely with regional sales leaders to execute marketing programs, campaigns, and events to support and grow the sales pipeline.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sales leadership, marketing leadership (product, digital, brand), and regional sales teams, to ensure alignment and effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Monitor and analyze field marketing performance metrics, provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership, and make data-based recommendations for improvement.

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $95,200k - $124,950k and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.
Qualifications
Skillset
- Prefer knowledge of Lennox energy efficiency marketing initiatives, market actors and stakeholders
- Ability to travel (20 – 30% and somewhat seasonal)
- Dealing with ambiguity, change and gray areas. The energy efficiency spectrum is wide and changes swiftly and often
- Independent work style; ability to work outside of routine since duties change daily
- Bachelor's Degree or greater in marketing, communications, business, journalism, or related
- Exceptional account management and organizational skills
- Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives
- Skilled communicator with excellent verbal, written, presentation skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office software - particularly Excel and PowerPoint
