WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses.     As a leader on the North American GTM SA team, you will build the foundation of success for our GTM strategy for Core portfolio of services including Graviton, Flexible Compute, Hybrid Edge, Edge Services, Core Networking and Security. You will lead a team of senior architects across the region to translate our customer’s critical C-suite goals into a technical roadmap for success, creating repeatable motions for our organization in partnership with the GTM Specialist team. Your team will work closely with internal product teams, informing AWS’ product roadmap and building the features of the future. In emerging areas, your team plays a critical role as the “first in” team to build markets for new services, domains, or solutions.

    Roles and Responsibilities:
    • As a key member of the business development and sales management teams, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services onto the AWS platform.
    • Hire, on-board, train, and develop new Solutions Architects from internal and external sources.
    • Educate enterprise customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
    • Coach Solutions Architects in the skills needed to conduct training sessions for new and existing customers.
    • Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community.
    • Guide and motivate the development of whitepapers, data sheets, and other high-value customer facing guidance and best practices.
    • Become a trusted advisor to within customer accounts to enable them to be “Cloud advocates.”
    • Act as a conduit and liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support
    Key job responsibilities
    • Manage a team of Specialist Solutions Architects covering all Core Services.
    • Interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as developers and technical architects, to develop pipeline, secure lighthouse customers, drive top-line revenue, and explore strategic partnerships.
    • Develop and deploy sales motions and programs that leverage AWS Field Sales teams, as well as technology and consulting partner channels.
    • Collaborate with the Service and Technical teams to create solutions that solve customer problems, including reference architectures, patterns, automation, release plan, etc.
    • Technical Thought Leadership

    Seattle, WA, USA

    • History of successful technical consulting and/or architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises.
    • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
    • Familiarity with common enterprise services. Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
    • Strong written communication skills.
    • Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
    • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
    • AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise.
    • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
    • Computer Science/relevant degree.

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $160,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $312,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
