Job Summary: 

The Inventory Control Manager (ICM) oversees the execution of shrink reduction and inventory control; inclusive of inventory management, departmental management and procedures while focusing on implementing and achieving store goals related to losses. This position will serve as the local subject matter expert on inventory management processes related to Fresh and Center Store as well as Front and Back End controls. The ICM is responsible for tactical execution of shrink reduction programs and procedures that support operations, while emphasizing achievement of financial goals for sales, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization.

Essential Duties and Key Accountabilities: 

•          Identify the root causes of inventory shrink
•          Implement, review and oversee innovative solutions and reduction practices
•          Review reports to identify current and potential inventory problems
•          Identify store and department specific inventory improvement opportunities
•          Train, mentor, and develop Store Leadership and Team Member on Company standards; build acceptance and buy-in
•          Implement, review and oversee Best practices on Total Loss
•          Partner with Operations Leaders, Merchandising and Loss Prevention to coordinate Total Loss processes and opportunities
•          Conduct quality store visits to ensure that department standards and processes are in place to deliver consistent execution and financial results by leading and coaching for improvement
•          Monitor, review and coach store front end/back end processes, policies, systems and standards
•          Provide expertise and Center Store and Fresh departmental knowledge; work closely with store and department managers to develop action plans that will improve total loss results
•          Coordinate retail processes and initiatives affecting merchandise handling systems, backroom conditions, cooler/freezer storage, ordering, product handling and total loss management
•         Support District, Store and Department managers in developing action plans for resolving inventory problems, make recommendations for improving the plan, ensure the plan is implemented and influence team members to take accountability  for following the plan
•          Partner with Loss Prevention and conduct total loss investigations as required subsequent to established high loss guidelines
•          Develop and recommend action plans designed to correct deficiencies and minimize the exposure to loss
•          Advise merchandisers and specialists during seasonal planning, space adjustment processes
•          Follow all safety policies and procedures
•          Perform other duties as assigned
