TITLE: Inventory Specialist

SUMMARY: An inventory specialist maintains records of all warehouse inventory, produces inventory reports for the warehouse manager on a regular basis, and keeps all stock organized and replenished as necessary. The Inventory Specialist is responsible for handling all day-to-day inventory management procedures. The Inventory Specialist also is responsible for keeping notes of products received and organizing them in the warehouse bin locations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate with the receiving team to know what is scheduled for delivery and organize and make room for all incoming containers and deliveries
- Utilizes reports to locate any misplaced product
- Organize and execute quarterly cycle counts
- Utilize any downtime to help with palletizing, stickering, and putting away product
- Training less experienced inventory workers
- Identifying any discrepancies or losses at the end of each week so they can be prevented from happening again
- Developing protocols for loss mitigation
- Coordinating and directing cycle count teams
- Consolidating and reorganizing like part numbers and bins
- Reorganize and restack any fallen stacks of tires
- Organize and ensure preparedness for year-end inventory
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management

- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer skills required: Inventory Software; Microsoft Office; Project Management Software; handheld scanner
Other skills required: High level of detail orientation; effective self-management; capable problem solving; pre planning and strategizing
