Position Overview:
The Specialty Leasing Representative is responsible for generating new revenue through Specialty Leasing and temporary deal making for two (2) retail centers in a specific geographic area, by canvassing, cold-calling and growing existing tenants by adding new concepts. Required to meet specific new business income goals through aggressive deal making.
Responsibilities:
· Generate new local leads and achieve Specialty Leasing income goals at all assigned center(s)
· Canvass region to find and develop new retail concepts for the center(s)
· Be up to date on current Specialty Leasing trends within the industry and assigned regional areas
· Maintain all accounts and account activity to ensure all required reporting is accurate and complete when due
· Work with new and existing tenants to enhance the merchandising offering mix and ensure visual standards are behind upheld
· Work cross departmentally with mall general manager and local perm leasing/broker to ensure the Specialty Leasing strategy is in line with mall strategy
· Other duties as assigned
· Travel required
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· Minimum 2 years’ leasing, real estate, or related experience
· Computer skills- Excel, Word, Internet, Outlook
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Strong ability to initiate sales contacts
· Understanding of the specialty leasing process, rent structure and legal terminology
· Strong analytical skills
· Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
· Self- starter with strong organizational, planning and time management skills
