Lead - Advisor is a consulting and search firm specializing in wealth management. This role is for a client firm.

We are helping our client in New York City, hire an Investment Operations Specialist who will join their investment desk. This person will possess the required credentials (Series 7 & 63) and have at least 3 years of experience working within the financial planning industry. They are looking for highly motivated individuals who have an intellectual curiosity, leadership and organizational skills, as well as possess outstanding integrity and judgement. 

Your role will include the following responsibilities:

• Support advisors with day-to-day workflow
• Prepare & update excel models as well as other documents
• Provide administrative coordination with trading, operations, and client service areas
• Help develop comprehensive financial plans for existing and prospective clients
• Trade incoming accounts based on buy, sell, hold (BSH) analysis
• Execute ad hoc trades based on client needs
• Tax loss harvesting, brokerage and 529 trades
• Learn how to structure, manage and monitor investment portfolios
• Analyze prospective and existing client portfolios
• Develop new and enhance currently existing service models
• Conduct research projects on client accounts or business activities

Requirements:

• Have completed an undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field at an accredited four-year college or university with a minimum 3.2 GPA
• Currently hold Series 7 and 63 licenses
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel as well as other Microsoft Office applications
• Prior experience with database management
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently
• Working towards a CFP or other financial industry designation
