The CalSTRS Investments Branch is seeking an experienced individual to work as an Investment Officer I on the Investment Operations team.
Investment Operations provides operational services and oversight across all asset classes of the Investments Branch. This includes pre-settlement and post-trade portfolio controls, trade and cash flow management, portfolio setup and onboarding, and total fund reporting. Additionally, the team serves as a control function to protect the total plan and mitigate operational and custodial risk.
Under the direction of the Associate Portfolio Manager, the Investment Officer I provides investment and financial knowledge to staff and management, assists with overseeing the operational complexities in managing the CalSTRS’ Investment Portfolio and performs a wide range of analytical and technical work to support the functions of Investment Operations. The incumbent is expected to perform duties requiring independence, confidentiality, creativity and discretionary judgment.
An incumbent who possesses a professional certification as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) may receive a 5% monthly base pay differential.
Every 12 months, based on performance evaluation, employees may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary for the position.
