The Virginia Department of the Treasury is dedicated to serving the Commonwealth by providing excellent management of its banking, investing, and financing services and the administration of unclaimed property and insurance programs.
The Virginia Department of the Treasury is seeking an Investment Specialist to assist with daily investment operational activities for the General Account and Local Government Investment Pool (LGIP) portfolios. Specifically, this position provides support in managing the Investment Operations for Treasury, including trade execution, compliance, reconciliations, reporting, and the day-to-day relationship between Treasury and its external investment vendors (portfolio managers, investment consultant, securities lending, custodial, LGIP surveillance reporting, LGIP administration, etc).
The responsibilities include the portfolios of the General Account Primary Liquidity Portfolio (PLP), the externally managed General Account Extended Duration Credit Portfolio (EDCP), and the externally managed Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Endowment (TICR) Portfolios. Additionally, the position will provide support to the investments staff in daily execution of investment activities. Finally, they will assist in the day-to-day LGIP participant administration and operations of the client side of the LGIP and LGIP EM, including daily interaction with local officials, fund settlement, and reconciliation.
