IRA Accounts Supervisor jobs in Florence, AL

Jones Contractors, Inc. in Henderson, TN seeking accounting clerk for full time position. Successful candidates should have a working knowledge of accounting and a drive for success. This position will report to Accounting Manager. Fast-paced environment with room for growth.

The Accounts Payable Clerk performs a variety of tasks related to accounts payable including but not limited to:

§ Manage Accounts Payable email daily (volume varies)

§ Follow timelines in place with unapproved invoices

§ Enter approved invoices into Accounting Software daily

§ Communicate with Purchasing Department with discrepancies that pertain to purchase orders and the invoices

§ Assist AP Supervisor with related Accounts Payable needs

§ Assist AP Clerk responsible for credit card transactions as needed

Physical Requirements:

§ Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

§ Light lifting 15 lbs. or less

Qualifications:

§ High volume, must be able to work quickly and accurately

§ Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

§ Organizational, verbal and written communication skills a must

§ Basic accounting/math knowledge a plus

§ Attention to detail and ability to multi-task

§ At least 2 years experience preferred

§ High school diploma or GED required
