We are looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team.

Summary:  Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function within the accounting department.  This involves managing a team of accounts payable specialists, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and collaborating with internal team members.   

1. Determine work procedures and expedite workflow for accounts payable areas; assign duties and examine work of subordinates for exactness and conformance to policies and procedures.
2. Supervise accounts payable staff.
3. Administer company policies and procedures.
4. Compile various composite operating and financial statements from individuals reports of subordinates required by management or government agencies.
5. Analyze and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of department operations.
6. Resolve problems regarding collection of payments.
7. Provides support to the ERP system to develop reports and to address areas of needed enhancements.
8. Work with auditors to verify financial reports.
9. Conduct special accounting studies where needed and prepare reports as requested.
10. Keep up to date on regulations affecting the company’s accounting procedures and recordkeeping.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Associates degree in Accounting/Business or equivalent work experience.
2. Previous accounting and supervisory experience.
3. Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
4. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, financial reports, accounting laws and governmental regulations.
5. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
6. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, auditors, and other employees of the organization.
7. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, sales and use tax, proportions, and percentages. 
8. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
9. Extended sitting.
10. Some standing and lifting required.
11. Ability to use a variety of office equipment.
12. Proficient in the use of the computer; Word, Excel, ERP system.
13. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
