Irrigation tech needed to support large client base.
Job description
-Perform all irrigation activities including, but not limited to, setting components, excavating and back filling trenches, repairing breaks and malfunctions, and winterization of systems.
-Operate power equipment to perform irrigation services, including but not limited to trenchers, pipe pullers, boring units, plate compactors, line locators, drills, etc.
-Use irrigation hand tools including, but not limited to, shovels, spades, pipe cutters, rakes, etc.
-Communicate with immediate supervisor about any malfunctioning equipment and all site problems experienced.
-Analyze property needs and provide recommendations for improvement.
-Maintain a high level of quality, efficiency and customer service.
Desired Skills and Experience
-Experience required.
-Experience and knowledge of irrigation installation, service, start-up, winterization, and repair.
-Previous experience operating a trencher, pipe puller, skid steer, and backhoe preferred.
-Must have the knowledge and ability to properly identify irrigation problems and take appropriate action to make repairs.
-Backflow Certification preferred or willing to obtain.
-Self-motivated and a quick learner.
-Possess strong social, organizational and communication skills.
-Ability to communicate effectively with managers and customers.
Some training is available.
