The successful applicant will grow into a leadership position with responsibility for managing installation and maintenance crews and for the repair and installation of irrigation systems. This is a growth position with upwards earnings potential for the right candidate. Irrigation installation or service experience is a plus, but not necessary. We will provide on the job and classroom training. Season runs from April to December – salary shown is for this timeframe. At the end and beginning of each season, we work in the shop cleaning equipment and organizing inventory.

- Skilled and semi-skilled irrigation installations. Assist in installation and service of lawn and garden underground sprinkler systems. With and without supervision, works on diverse range of activities involved in irrigation repair, installation, operation and trouble shooting.

- Safely operate powered equipment such as backhoe, trenchers and sod cutters.

- Manual labor required for most installations.

- Perform trouble shooting, maintenance and service on existing irrigation systems

- Repair and service irrigation system components

- Perform fall shutdowns and spring startups of underground irrigation systems

- Keep shop and vehicles in clean and organized fashion

- Participate as a member of a team.

Qualifications

- Willingness to learn new skills

- Must possess strong organizational skills

- Experience operating and/or maintaining power equipment (such as …) is a plus

- Experience supervising labor staff is a plus

- Understanding of basic plumbing helpful

- Working knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system helpful, but not required

- Clean driving record

Salary: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
