IS Operations Coordinator jobs in South Dakota

For over 100 years, Maguire Iron has been an industry leader in the fabrication, construction, and maintenance of water storage tanks and elevated water towers. The Operations Coordinator at Maguire Iron will support the Tank Operations Department by performing essential daily functions.

Essential Functions:

• Provide support to Safety Supervisor
• Manage new hire paperwork and orientation support
• Help coordinate and setup safety meetings, exams, and annual meetings
• Prepare for shop and office tours ensuring participants have proper PPE
• Track Toolbox Talk compliance
• Draft correspondence in CRM, Tank Data & Document Entry
• File and scan all steel receipts for projects to be submitted
• Update MPS daily with Steel Receipts, Paint, Shipping
• Support field crews with requests and coordinate deliveries
• Setup new vendor accounts for field crews (fuel, supplies, x-rays)
• Complete weekly progress reports of tank field construction
• Perform general office duties, such as general filing, front door answering, phone support, organization, acquiring office supplies

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree in Business Administration required;  five years of related experience in fast paced construction environment preferred.
• Organizational, time management and computer skills are required.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team oriented person who can focus on the details.
• Professional attitude when dealing with internal and external customers.

Work Environment:

• Majority of the time is spent in an office environment.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
