IT Asset Manager manages the operations of the IT asset and inventory management function. Manages the maintenance of records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software. Being an IT Asset Manager minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Tracks quality throughout the product lifetime. Additionally, IT Asset Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Asset Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an IT Asset Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Details:- Review designs submitted for changes to government facilities
- Assist with the management of project designs and/or construction efforts
- Integrate and coordinate projects with field personnel
- Conduct inspections to ensure conformance with IT design specifications and building codes
- Provide official weekly project status reports
- Prepare and distribute project communication with customers, management, integrated project teams and stakeholders
- Collect IT requirements, prepare scopes of work, conduct market research, and develop sole source justification, as needed
- Review and approve shop drawings and submittals
- Conduct and approve punch-list items prior to property turn-over
- Maintain, track, and update contract change requests
- Oversee the implementation of IT infrastructure
- Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout project lifecycle to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline
Requirements:- TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6 years of experience managing complex projects
- Basic knowledge of national and international cabling standards
- Strong interpersonal skills and diverse stakeholder engagement
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
- General knowledge of construction documentation
- Experience using SharePoint
- Knowledge of IC cabling standards and network infrastructure
