General James M. Gavin Power Plant is a 2,600-megawatt supercritical coal-fired power station in the village of Cheshire, Ohio, United States. It is owned by Lightstone Generation LLC, a 50–50 joint venture of The Blackstone Group L.P. and ArcLight Capital. 

The Maintenance Manager will manage the collective bargaining unit agreement representing the local workforce. The incumbent will have 4 direct employees, with a maintenance team of 65 employees and 100 contractors. Under the general direction of the Plant Manager, the incumbent is responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for execution of preventative and corrective maintenance processes, development, and implementation of plant procedures, managing vendor work on site, and putting all other processes in place to ensure successful long-term commercial operation. This candidate will be comfortable managing a team and conducting analysis to highlight areas for improvement. This candidate should also possess strong organizational skills to keep track of multiple projects at once.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains station equipment to operate within parameters which include equipment availability, station budget, heat rate improvement, environmental compliance, and safety targets.
• Manage the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Gavin Power.
• Coordinates and ensures comprehensive planning between maintenance and operating departments using established maintenance work practices. Initiates and implements improvements to maintenance work practices.
• Coordinates corrective and preventive maintenance activities. Ensures the execution of corrective and preventive maintenance. Implements the corrective maintenance activities in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Manage scheduled maintenance outages so that they are performed in a safe, efficient, and quality manner with emphasis on budget and schedule compliance.
• Provides leadership and coordinates work activities of direct reports. Interprets and enforces company policies and safety regulations. Analyzes and resolves employee work problems. Initiates and implements plans to motivate workers to achieve strategic goals. Resolves grievances and creates a positive labor relations climate.
• Develops and monitors department and plant budget to meet or enhance station and corporate goals. Obtains information for justification of submitted requests and for estimation of costs required to implement the requests as part of the budget preparation process.
