  • Primary Purpose:

    My client is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join their Loss Prevention team as an IT Asset Support Associate. This role involves working closely with end users and various departments to facilitate the organized and efficient return of outdated equipment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage a queue of equipment returns to ensure a seamless process.

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with end users, department heads, and IT staff to identify and catalog outdated equipment eligible for return.
    • Manage a queue of equipment return requests, prioritizing based on factors such as equipment age, relevance, and operational needs.
    • Conduct thorough assessments of returned equipment to determine its condition and usability.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of returned equipment, including tracking serial numbers, models, and reasons for return.
    • Communicate with end users and stakeholders to provide updates on the status of equipment return requests.
    • Troubleshoot and address any issues that may arise during the equipment return process.
    • Collaborate with the IT team to identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency in equipment return procedures.
    • Adhere to established IT policies, procedures, and guidelines throughout the equipment return process.
    • Assist in the preparation of documentation related to equipment returns, including reports, recommendations, and compliance documentation.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulations related to IT equipment management and disposal.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
    • Strong understanding of various types of IT equipment, including computers, laptops, servers, peripherals, and networking devices.
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effectively liaising with end users, colleagues, and external partners.
    • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address issues and challenges proactively.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
