    We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Software Asset Manager to join our team. The Software Asset Manager has the responsibility to ensure DLL utilizes software licenses as efficiently as possible and within the reach of the Software Asset Management policy. The Software Asset Manager has an administrative, advising and controlling role within the IT organization.

    The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of software and asset management tooling, processes, policies, and procedures, in addition to experience supporting a global environment.

    Day to day:

    • Manage Software Asset Management (SAM) services in a global environment.
    • Collaborate and provide guidance to IT service teams to help DLL be compliant with software license utilization.
    • Define impact on license position for all IT activities (e.g. new/renewal contracts, small changes, projects, software upgrades, patches and hardware upgrades) and arrange for additional licenses where needed.
    • Analyze contracts and extract license entitlements, resulting in a license entitlement administration.
    • Reconcile and interpret software license inventory and license entitlements and conclude on license position (over/under licensed) and provide advice on how to address the outcome.
    • Build and maintain software inventory reports.
    • Provide advice to IT-management and staff on software asset management related topics (contract renewals, audits, process improvements, etc.).
    • Provide support during audits related to software asset licenses.
    • Continuous improvement of the SAM-process model framework and alignment with the relevant departments to fine-tune the process.
    • Stay up to date on developments in the market around software license models and topics related to software asset management, including monitoring of ELP and proactive alerting to detect future incompliances.

    Essentials:

    • Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree is a plus.
    • 5-7 years of relevant working experience.
    • Experience working with the Snow SAM tool.
    • Experience with the Snow cloud solution (Snow Atlas) is a plus.
    • Strong communication skills that enable effective contact with various levels in the organization, ranging from the technical teams through senior management.
    • Strong relationship management skills to address conclusions and advising the senior management team. This role has multiple points of interaction (other DLL departments, Finance, Procurement, Vendor Management and operational departments, suppliers, etc.).
    • Ability to work independently in a global environment and support different time zones.
    • Knowledge of procurement practices, contract law, licensing, and IT agreements
    • Expertise and experience in working with different software license models (major players like Oracle, IBM, Microsoft) and specific tooling for software inventory/discovery, license entitlement registration and reconciliation (of software usage with software entitlements).
    • Specific software asset management expertise and experience (process, policies, and tooling).
    • A technical understanding of operating systems, databases, and new computing and cloud architectures is highly desirable.
    • Excellent influence, negotiation, and persuasion skills with a strong customer/partnering mentality.
    • Strong analytical skills for modeling and tracking software expenditures.

    Applicable Pay Range

    $100.884,90 - $178.256,27

    This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the applicable pay range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
