Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a team of 4-8 Front End and Full Stack engineers, guiding project execution and initiatives.
- Recruit, mentor, and cultivate the professional growth of team members.
- Ensure high standards of code quality and development practices within the team.
- Manage product quality standards and oversee release processes for successful deployments.
- Participate in hands-on coding when required and provide insightful technical feedback during code reviews.
- Collaborate with UX designers and product managers to formulate strategies that align resources for product execution and delivery.
- Partner with marketing and growth teams to enhance our website, fostering customer engagement and conversions.
- Work together with the customer success team to empower existing customers with tools for effective account management while providing insights into revenue and engagement.
- Collaborate with core product and engineering teams to unlock and launch new products and packages in development.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding priorities, deliverables, and enhancements.
- Contribute to engineering leadership initiatives, promoting cultural advancement and architectural innovations across teams.
Required Skills
- 2 years of experience managing a team of 3 or more software engineers.
- 5 years of professional experience as a software developer or engineer.
- Strong proficiency in React.js and familiarity with Python REST API backends (e.g., Django, FastAPI, Django Rest Framework, Flask).
- Knowledge of A/B testing frameworks (e.g., LaunchDarkly or similar).
- A demonstrated passion for mentoring and developing engineers, with a proven record of effective hiring and recruiting.
- Experience in managing individual and team performance.
- Proven capability to work with product partners in creating roadmaps and executing product strategies, managing stakeholder priorities and timelines.
- Experience in collaborating with engineering teams on architecture, design, and converting Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) into technical designs.
- Ability to distill technical design documents into actionable projects, milestones, and backlogs.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, including running sprints and backlog grooming.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software development and team management.
