IT Capacity Planner, Sr. evaluates the organization's data processing and storage needs and develops long-term plans to meet business requirements. Implements policies for network storage system troubleshooting, updating and general maintenance. Being an IT Capacity Planner, Sr. documents problems and solutions and serves as the point of contact for network capacity related issues. Allocates storage space, plans for future projects or acquisitions, reviews hardware and software configurations and makes suggestions for appropriate storage or backup models. Additionally, IT Capacity Planner, Sr. may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. To be an IT Capacity Planner, Sr. typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. The Planner will work together with the Planner(s) to provide administrative support in order to maintain and execute a manufacturing plan that consists of production planning, scheduling and manufacturing order management Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities: Works with the Senior Planner to draw up production schedule. Make adjustments to Master Schedule as directed. Schedules orders for purchasing and production according to Senior Planner. Collaborates with team members or department supervisors to resolve constraints or delays of assigned products or components. Works with Purchasing Team to ensure material and outside service requirements are met, Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions or constraints. Communicates updated availability information to Sales and other stakeholder groups. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma and/or GED required. 2-3 years of administration in a manufacturing environment AS degree and 5 years of combination of experience preferred, Experience in packing, kitting, industrial products, or machined assemblies a plus. Knowledge and experience with Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma. Excellent communication and report writing skills; attention to detail. Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment. Proficiency in ERP Systems, MS Office and Outlook. Physical Demands: No restrictions on wearing required PPE for area, including safety eyewear and steel toed shoes.
