IT Capacity Planning Manager manages staff responsible for monitoring the organization's data processing and storage needs and develops long-term plans to meet business requirements. Develops policies for network storage system troubleshooting, updating and general maintenance. OCI's Network Capacity team is responsible for using reports, dashboards, forecasts, and models to monitor and manage OCI's global could network capacity. The team uses data available to kick off a network augment via our augment process. This team is responsible for monitoring all layers of the global cloud network including but not limited to backbone, internet, metro/dwdm, virtualized capacity, and various fabrics within a datacenter. Experience and understanding of how traffic passes through various network layers is necessary to be effective in this role.
In addition, members of this team support forecasting hardware demands and funding to support network augments, and working with internal and external customers to validate network demands.
This team will also partner with our development and data science teams to continue to improve reports, dashboards, forecasts, and models used to manage capacity.
Network experience is a requirement for this role.
