Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller

The Senior Accountant/Asst. Controller will play a critical role as the Company continues to experience growth. You will be a participatory leader who, along with the Controller, will lead the finance and accounting department. As the Senior Acct/Asst Controller, you will have shared responsibility for all aspects of financial management, financial control, accounting and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Partners with Controller to oversee the accounting department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, auditing, payroll, and general accounting.
• Assists in preparation of Financial Statements in accordance with GAAP
• Plans and implements accounting procedures and systems.
• Prepares financial analysis of operations.
• Reviews and analyzes all aspects of the labor and expense forecasting.
• Prepares reports outlining financial position in areas of income, expense, and earnings based on past, present, and future operations.
• Assists in the producing and presents all fiscal management tools and reports at regularly and ad hoc scheduled meetings.
• Prepares budgets and financial forecasts, variance reports and P&L in conjunction with Controller and Department Heads
• Analyzes client profitability by contract and makes recommendations to Controller to improve profitability of clients that are not meeting profit goals.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles
• Management experience building and leading accounting teams
• Strong understanding of GAAP
