  • Primary Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the remote support of our retail store operations as well as on-site support for DC locations (install software, troubleshoot Point of Sale software, troubleshoot printer and scan gun issues, etc.). Provide remote assistance to our various departments in resolving technical problems and maintaining existing systems (desktops, servers, wireless infrastructure, firewalls, etc.). Rotating on-call duty to assist retail sites with IT issues outside of corporate hours, typically every fourth weekend, and occasional assistance during the scheduled week. Provide guidance to users on how to operate new software and maintain company issued equipment. Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications. Provide helpdesk support for daily operations, systems support and network issues. Provide technical support either by phone, remote access or site visits as needed. Ensure proper functionality of hardware and software components such as laptops, docking stations, Zebra HC printers, desktop printers, etc. Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems. Perform other miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned. Job Specifications – Education, Skills and/or Experience: Basic qualifications include: High school diploma required, college/technical courses in related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of IT experience as a help desk technician, computer technician or IT support. Understanding of basic computer/network concepts and terms. Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems. Experience with Microsoft Office. Experience troubleshooting and repairing PC’s. Experience with remote support tools, such as LogMeIn, VNC, RDP, etc. Ability to lift upwards of 25lb’s for computer hardware relocating if needed. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently. Ability to collaborate and perform as a member of a team. Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Able to meet deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment where change is the norm. Strong customer service skills. Must be highly motivated, possess a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Preferred qualifications include: A Certified or equivalent experience/knowledge. Security or equivalent experience/knowledge. Commercial Firewall configuration experience/knowledge. Active Directory experience/knowledge. Server experience/knowledge.
