Job Description
Provides system operational support ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, accuracy, and availability of systems for end users. Coaches and mentors less experienced team members.Performs routine maintenance, facilitates customization and changes to, and ensures system disaster recovery for systems. Leads new employee technology setup, including computer setup and delivery and system access. Resolves issues not readily evident and performs authorized changes and upgrades to existing systems. Performs preventative maintenance on IT systems and networks; monitors system performance and accuracy. Performs complex root-cause analysis to identify issues. Coaches and mentors less experienced security analysts; documents knowledge and solutions for use across the organization
Technical duties include:
? Help to setup and monitor data closet equipment including servers and UPS
? Monitor and report on general site health status including data closet equipment, servers, network, and clients.
? Assist with the running of cables and provide guidance to local team on cable runs and termination
? Escort vendors within the site so they can do maintenance tasks on data closet systems.
? Assist the site lead with server operations as needed
? Set up new servers and clients according to documented processes
? Perform standard maintenance tasks on clients and servers including patches, agent install, and incident troubleshooting
? Maintain and document all network IDF changes and port mappings
? Collaborate with the plant staff in order to foster open communication with CBS and ensure all devices on site at used in accordance with CBS IT best practices.
? Position is 100% on site at CEP in Columbus, IN
Technical skills desired:
? Windows XP through 10, and server 2008 through 2019
? Familiarity with antivirus systems, Active directory, and basic windows security settings
? Basic understanding of network infrastructure including TCP/IP, switching, and common network devices
